The Cyprus Inland Revenue Department has announced that it can now accept payments for the following taxes online through the use of a credit card, if the amount is not overdue and does not exceed €1.000:

o Personal income tax withheld at source (PAYE);
o Self-assessment of income tax due for individuals and legal persons;
o Withholding or self-assessment of Special Defence Contribution on interest, rent, and dividends;
o Self-assessment of Special Defence Contribution, where a deemed distribution arises.

Please note that this method cannot be used for the payment of the provisional income tax and the payment in respect of assessments issued by the Cyprus Tax Authorities.
